Manufacturer Description

If you want a great, all-around Junior Wells collection, this ten song Telarc CD from 1993 is one. He is at the top of his game here, delivering that funky blues with that Junior style and mannerisms in both vocals and blues harp. Of course, the band sounds good, too. Yes, Buddy Guy is here with guitar, but on only three songs. Listen for the expressive guitar of Rico McFarland on eight songs. Lucky Peterson is on B3 organ or piano on every track. You'll have to read the liner notes for others. For me, standout tunes include: an Albert King standard, "Oh, Pretty Woman", "Better Off With the Blues", and "The Train", but every track is a winner--even Junior's take on the country classic ballad, "Today I Started Loving You Again". .
