Muddy Waters, the 'father of modern Chicago Blues', was a major inspiration for the British Blues explosion and bands like the Rolling Stones and the Animals in the 1960s. He started to play the Blues harp in the 1920s and got his first guitar in the 1930s. In 1943 he moved to his sister's in Chicago and performed in the small clubs of the city. From 1953, his career started to develop as he played together with Otis Spann, Willie Dixon and Little Walter. This collection features his biggest hits and rarities from 1941-1961.
